Canadian Song of the Day – 4/20/12

Rally’n ft Saukrates by Jully Black, from the original single (1998).

For the final installment of Canadian Soul week we are going a little modern, Jully Black’s Rally’n is one of the best of the R&B/Soul category you will find from Canada in the 90s. This is the original version from ’98 that was collected on her unreleased first album I Travelled. This song also showcases brief piece in the outro by a late nineties-heyday era Saukrates, well worth it. Jully has been up and down since, but she nailed her first try.
